A.T. Home in the Poppy Fields
‘Home,’ a place or feeling of safety, belonging, comfort and identity.
For me, “Poppy Fields A.T. Royal Arches” feels like coming home, my extended home.
Hues Muse: Pink
A color series in which I explore facts, history and effects of colors from my perspective and learnings from “The Secret Lives of Color” by Kassia St. Clair. This blog is all about pink and its historical roles and impacts on research in prison behavior.
Monthly Motivation: They’re Always Watching
My motivation this month is my kids. Not just doing something for or because of them or not wanting them to see me fail. But because they reminded me to have pride in my work.
My Inspiration
I find it therapeutic to get lost in my process and focus on the nostalgia and beauty of my subjects. Through my creative process I get to reminisce on adventures I’ve been on, from short road trips for camping to overseas adventures and places big and small in between.

Is It Done Yet?
How do you know when a painting is finished? It is all personal preference. A finished painting in my mind, may not be finished for another artist. It is all about the emotion, effect and detail that the artist is wanting portray to the viewer.
So, is it done yet? Good question.
